was founded as Hutt City Dance Centre in the 1970's by Lynn and Art Noanoa, run alongside their daughter Amber.

The name 'The Studio' was created in 2018, and in 2021 the business was sold to sisters Kate and Hannah Isberg.

​

In 2025, Hannah is taking time to focus on her growing family, and The Studio is now run solely by Kate Isberg.

​

Dancing since she was 4 years old, Kate is trained in jazz, hiphop, lyrical and contemporary. She began teaching at HCDC in 2012, and continued to do so until she moved to California in 2017. Here, she studied at a performing arts college, took part in local outreach tours, and performed in large scale Christmas and Tribute shows. She was then accepted on 6 global tours where she got to company manage, teach, and share her love of dance all over the world - her favourite place being Japan!

Having returned to NZ due to Covid in 2020, Kate resumed teaching for Lynn & Art before taking over the business in 2021.

 

She believes in creating positive and inclusive environments for everybody, and always having fun. Kate has a huge passion for dance, performing, and the confidence it can give somebody.
